Each therapy session is usually 50 minutes in duration, but may be longer depending on the needs of the client/reason for referral. The duration of therapy depends on the complexity, severity and nature of presenting problems.

The contents of a session are regarded as strictly confidential and information will only be divulged with written permission of the client.  There are however limits to confidentiality which will be clearly outlined to the client during the first contact session.

Individual Therapy

Family Therapy

Family therapy views individual problems within the context of the family and addresses destructive patterns of interaction between family members. A prerequisite for family therapy is that all family members (as identified by the psychologist) attend sessions and commit to the therapeutic process.
